How to care for your gold layered jewelry

All of our gold layered jewelry is handmade,and must be cared for just as you would fine jewelry. Just like solid gold, special care must be placed to ensure that your jewelry maintains its beauty and inevitably lasts a lifetime.

Here are a few guidelines on how to care for your jewelry:

- Avoid using the jewelry when working on heavy-duty jobs like: electrical, mechanical, construction, etc.

- Avoid contact with chemical products like: mercury, liquid color, paint, iodine, sulphate, etc.

- Oil lotions and oily creams may also spoil the jewelry.

- Pieces with stones should not be washed with detergent, soap, or any other similar products this may cause the stone to be opaque.

Cleaning:

We recommend that you clean your jewelry frequently to preserve its beauty. To do that, you can gently wash jewelry with mild hand soap or with a neutral shampoo. Remove and rinse with water thoroughly. Dry gently with a hair dryer, (not too close to the jewelry!) or with a soft cloth. Make sure not to leave the pieces wet or humid.

If you prefer you can also use a non-abrasive jewelry cleaner, formulated for the special care of todays fashion jewelry. Make sure to follow instructions carefully.

Storage:

Store your jewelry as you would do all your solid gold jewelry. We recommend you keep them organized, avoid keeping other type of materials mixed with them and without exposure to excessive light.

Also make sure your jewelry is dry when you put it away because moisture can cause springs and clasps to weaken over time.
